En visite au Caire, Khelil dévoile un projet d’entreprise algéro-égyptienne dans le pétrole

Les tensions diplomatiques entre Alger et le Caire ne semblent pas freiner les projets d’investissements entre les deux pays. Vendredi, au Caire, le ministre de l’Energie et des mines, Chakib Khelil, a annoncé le lancement d’une entreprise algéro-égyptienne spécialisée dans l’exploration et la production pétrolière.

« J'espère que nous allons signer un accord pour lancer une co-entreprise dans l'exploration et la production pétrolière, en Egypte et en Algérie et dans d'autres pays », a affirmé M. Khelil. L'entreprise s'appellera « Selene Petroleum, du nom de la fille de Cléopâtre qui épousa Juba II, le roi d'Algérie », a-t-il révélé. Selene Petroleum sera une filiale détenue à parité entre Sonatrach et les sociétés égyptiennes EGAS et EGPC.

Le ministre algérien est arrivé vendredi au Caire, où il assistera samedi à une conférence de l'Organisation des pays arabes exportateurs de pétrole (Opaep). Cette visite est la première en Egypte d’un officiel algérien, après les incidents qui ont entouré la rencontre entre les Verts et les Pharaons, le 14 novembre au Caire. L’Egypte a rappelé son ambassadeur au Caire mais l’Algérie a décidé de ne pas répondre par la réciproque.
